Joanne Unsworth is a marketing communications professional with 20 years experience encompassing public relations, event management and marketing, brand communications, advertising, production management and promotions. Joanne’s most recent position was Director of Public Relations for Traction Creative Communications, where she planned, managed and executed projects for the Resort Municipality of Whistler, 2010 Legacies Now, Morguard Investments, White Spot and BCIT Alumni Association. Prior to that, Joanne spent 13 years on the executive committee of The Vancouver Sun Run, handling a multitude of tasks from sponsorship sales and fulfillment and collateral production to advertising and community relations. Additional roles include co-director, media relations for Grey Cup ’99, managing accreditation and the media room for the World Cup Downhill in Whistler, coordinating the press fleet for Honda Canada and handling media relations for the Honda Run for the Cure. Joanne’s career started at PR agencies in Toronto where she worked on the Coca-Cola/Wayne Gretzky Future Stars program, coordinated photo shoots for Honda Canada press fleet vehicles and managed the production of a newsletter for DuPont Canada. She graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa with a BA in Political Science.

Interactive Jammer
Dana Roberts started studying web design on his own while living in Japan teaching English.mHe received a Web Design Diploma from Assiniboine Community College in 2006.mDana moved to Vancouver after graduating to work at Traction Creative Communications as a Web Designer / Developer.
While working at Traction, Dana was involved in some ground breaking design creative while working on new sites for Ivanhoe Cambridge’s, largest shopping centre; Metropolis at Metrotown and the new Metrotower III business centre. Dana also worked closely with the creative team on projects that included Uptown, and new outdoor lifestyle centre for Morguard Investments and lifestyle sites for YYoga, Star Worldwide and real estate developments for Intracorp. Dana started up his own interactive and social marketing development business collaborating with many advertising agencies for clients such as Future Shop, MTS, VANOC, Tourism BC, ICBC and Work Safe BC. Dana and Larry Donen have worked together over the past 4 years, and are launching Baby’s World new website this fall.

Wendy Underwood – Principal at Fever Pitch. With a comprehensive mix of public relations, marketing and media experience, Wendy Underwood brings a professional and balanced approach to all marketing communications projects. Most recently, Wendy held the position of Manager, Travel Media Relations, International & Trade at Tourism Vancouver. There, she built strong relationships with North American travel and trade media and a reputation for securing significant unpaid coverage in key outlets. While at Tourism Vancouver, she also had the opportunity to work with some of the world's most influential media outlets as they got ready to cover the 2010 Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games. These included Reuters, USA Today, BBC, Channel 9 Australia and NBC.
Prior to working with Tourism Vancouver, Wendy worked as a freelance journalist writing on topics including real estate, fashion, travel and cuisine for publications such as Vancouver magazine, the Georgia Straight and Western Living. Wendy holds a Bachelor of Arts (English, Journalism major) from Curtin University in Western Australia.
